1. The use of drugs or alcohol prior to or during the sauna or cold water immersion session may lead to dizziness or unconsciousness. Drugs and alcohol are not allowed on the Evolve Human Optimization Lab premises, and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone intoxicated.
2. Please contact and consult your physician if you are in doubt of your ability to engage in any of our services for health reasons.
3. No clients under the age of 18 are permitted in the facility unless accompanied by a supervising adult.
4. Please discontinue the use of services if you feel light-headed, dizzy, heat exhausted, or cold shock.
5. Sauna sessions should be limited to a maximum of 30 minutes for the infrared sauna, and 10 minutes for the Norwegian saunas. Cold Water Immersion sessions should be limited to 2 minutes for the first session, 3 minutes for the next 5 sessions, and 5 minutes maximum with supervision.
6. It is advised to drink plenty of water before and after any sauna session.
7. Clients using any medications must consult a physician prior to the use of the saunas or cold water immersion.
8. Pregnant women should not use the saunas, cold water immersion tanks, or assisted stretching sessions.
9. Clients with a medical history of circulatory system problems should consult a physician prior to using saunas or cold water immersion.
10. For clients engaging in specialized breathing exercises while using the cold immersion tanks, you must always apply the techniques learned, including but not limited to breathing exercises and physical exercises, in a safe environment (e.g. sitting on a couch/floor) and unforced. Do not ever practice the techniques before or during diving, driving, swimming, taking a bath or any other environment/place where it might be dangerous to faint. Specialized breathing exercises have a profound effect and should be practiced in the way it is explained.
